When I was little, I’ve been living a period of my life thinking that those clay figures and puppets that move are real and they have soul. I just known this year what technique they used to accomplish this work. It’s actually an animation, stop motion animation (also known as stop action animation) is a frame-by-frame animation technique to make a physically clay or any manipulated object appear to move on its own.
If we start talking about the history of stop motion, we’ll never finish. This is a summary of the story:
So the fun part is that anyone can make a stop motion animation. You just need some stuff to prepare depending on the sort of animation you want to make. The character could be clay figures, puppets or anything else you can easily photograph and move around. It’s fun to do for anyone even for kids.
This is a web site explains how to make a stop motion animation in details: http://familyinternet.about.com/od/projects/ss/stopmotion.htm
Well, I got a personal background. It’s silly because I didn’t mean to make a stop motion
but I was playing with a camera and keep shooting a series of picture for a small ant. Later when I uploaded the photos to my computer, I discovered that I directed a stupid short animation. I was happy lol
